Audit checks / APP-ECO-01
Cost per trial above target
What an app pays for is a trial, and only the app's owner can say what one is worth. So this compares with a stated target and nothing else: half of an app's campaigns are always worse than its average. The newest week is left out because attribution lags: a campaign on target would read 1.3x over by that alone.
- Fires when
- A campaign's cost per trial is above 1.3x the stated target, with at least 10 trials, over the last 30 days leaving out the newest 7.
- What to do
- Instructions: review the campaign's bids. Without a stated target this check is not evaluated.
- How the impact is estimated
- waste = (cost per trial - target) x trials on the days read, per 30 days
