Audit checks / E-TRK-02
The platforms claim more than the store took
Each platform counts a sale it touched within its own attribution window, so one sale can be claimed by two platforms, or by one that only showed an ad. The store counted it once. When the claims run well past the takings, ROAS in the ad accounts looks better than the business is doing.
- Fires when
- Over 14 days the value the platforms claim is more than 1.3x the store's net sales, with their attribution windows named.
- What to do
- A warning: read each platform's ROAS with this in mind.
- How the impact is estimated
- risk = the value claimed beyond what the store took, normalized to 30 days. It is not a loss: it is how much of the platforms' reports the till does not back.
